This summer, we came together to celebrate a very special milestone — IG’s 18th Anniversary.

It was such a beautiful evening to see families, educators, and children gathered in one place, enjoying time together at Prairie Winds Park. Everywhere we looked, children were laughing, families were connecting, and educators were sharing special moments with the children and families they care for every day.

The celebration was a reminder that life is beautiful when we are present with one another — sharing laughter, creating memories, and enjoying the simple joy of being together. More than anything, it reminded us of what makes IG so meaningful: the relationships, the sense of belonging, and the light we bring into each other’s lives.

🎉A Celebration Filled with Smiles 🎉

Before the event began, our team arrived early to set up the space and prepare everything for the families. Tables, activity stations, photo backdrops, gifts, and games were carefully arranged so everyone could enjoy the evening.

As families started to arrive, the park quickly came to life. Children were excited to see their friends and educator, parents had a chance to talk and connect, and educators were able to celebrate alongside the families they support throughout the year.

It was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the simple but meaningful moments — taking photos together, sharing food, playing games, cheering children on, and spending time as a community. In those moments, we saw what it means to be the bright light for one another.

🎁Passport Adventure & Goodie Bag Fun🎊

One of the highlights of the evening was the Passport Adventure. Each child received a passport and visited different activity stations to collect stamps after completing games and challenges.

Once all 9 stamps were collected, children exchanged their completed passport for a special goodie bag. This year, we prepared over 500 goodie bags filled with snacks and small toys for children in our dayhomes and their siblings.

Seeing the children proudly show their completed passports, line up for their prizes, and celebrate with their families was such a joyful part of the evening.

Food, Fun & Family Time🍕🥤

Families also enjoyed pizza, samosas, drinks, snacks, and sweet treats throughout the evening. There was music, games, dancing, conversations, and lots of laughter.

The best part was seeing families spend time together in a relaxed and happy space. Parents were watching their children play, siblings were joining in the activities, educators were connecting with families, and everyone had a chance to simply enjoy the evening.

It truly felt like a summer family picnic — warm, cheerful, and full of connection. It was a beautiful reminder to slow down, enjoy the moment, and appreciate the people around us.

Thank you to our staff and educators for the time, care, and energy you put into preparing, setting up, running activities, supporting families, and helping with cleanup. Every contribution, big or small, helped create a warm and joyful experience for our children and families. 🌹

Thank you as well to our IG families for joining us and celebrating this milestone together. Seeing children laugh, families connect, and everyone enjoy the evening together was the most meaningful part of the celebration.

As we look back on 18 years of IG, we are grateful for the community we have built together and excited for all the memories still to come. Life is beautiful, and we are thankful to share this journey with a community that continues to shine brightly.
