My name is Tina, and I am a Level 3 certified Early Childhood Educator with over three years of experience as the main teacher in a large childcare center. I truly love children and believe in listening to them with respect, valuing their ideas, and supporting their growth through their strengths. As both a teacher and a mother of two, I strive to create a warm, safe, and inspiring environment where children feel confident, capable, and cared for.
At Tina’s Music & Forest Dayhome, located in Evergreen Estates with a backyard opening directly to Fish Creek Park, children enjoy a balanced program of nature play, music, yoga, and hands-on exploration. Each day we have special music time with piano, ukulele, and digital guitar, where we sing and dance to popular favorites such as APT, Golden, O Canada, Let It Go, See You Again, along with classic children’s songs. Beginning in October, I will also bring children’s yoga classes to encourage calmness, focus, and well-being. Our daily activities include crafts, experiments, loose parts play, cooking, and gardening, helping children develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and independence. For older children, I also provide gentle academic support to prepare them for kindergarten, blending play with early literacy and numeracy. With music, nature, creativity, and care woven into each day, children grow in all areas—socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually—in a home-like and joyful setting.
