Hello! My name is Rui, and I am a licensed Level 3 Early Childhood Educator with over 10 years of experience working with children. I provide a safe, warm, and nurturing family dayhome where children are encouraged to learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. My program welcomes children from infancy to school age and focuses on supporting each child’s individual development at their own pace.

Our daily routine includes circle time, music and movement, arts and crafts, sensory play, outdoor exploration, STEM activities, early literacy and numeracy, and plenty of opportunities for creative play. I believe in helping children build confidence, independence, kindness, and strong social-emotional skills through consistent routines and positive guidance.

My dayhome is a licensed, pet-friendly environment with two exceptionally gentle, well-trained dogs and friendly indoor cats. The pets are calm, accustomed to young children, and are always supervised during interactions. Many children enjoy learning how to be kind and respectful around animals, and even helping walk the dogs safely as part of our outdoor adventures. This provides wonderful opportunities to build confidence, responsibility, empathy, and a love for animals in a safe and supportive environment.

Healthy snacks are provided, and children enjoy daily outdoor play whenever weather permits. I communicate regularly with families through updates and photos, creating a strong partnership to support every child’s growth and success.

We provide a play-based learning environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Daily activities include circle time, arts and crafts, music and movement, sensory play, outdoor exploration, STEM invitations, early literacy and numeracy activities, fine and gross motor development, seasonal themes, and school readiness activities. We also celebrate cultural holidays and encourage independence, kindness, and confidence through everyday routines.
