Lili Zhu’s Day Home

My name is Lili Zhu. I opened my dayhome because I love supporting children in their early years. I enjoy creating a warm environment where children feel safe and where they can try new things at their own pace. I prepare healthy and rich lunches and snacks for the children every day, and I try to give them a calm and happy daily routine.
In my dayhome, children learn through daily routines and play experiences. I plan activities based on their interests, such as sensory play, outdoor exploration, fine-motor crafts, and music time. Our environment is very bright and comfortable—the main floor classroom has a lot of sunlight during the day, and the basement (walk-out) area is used as an activity room when the weather is not good for outdoor play. There is also a playground just one minute from our backyard, which is safe and convenient. I focus on whole-child development and support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. I also value open communication with families and work together with parents to meet each child’s needs.
