I am Yan, an educator for IG, I own and operate a day home located in Hidden Valley. With a strong passion for early childhood education, I am committed to creating a safe, warm, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, respected, and supported in their growth and development.
In my daily practice, I follow a child-centered approach, carefully observing and listening to children’s interests and needs. Based on these observations, I thoughtfully plan and implement rich, diverse, and engaging learning experiences. Through innovative lessons, hands-on activities, play-based learning, and exploration, I aim to spark children’s curiosity, creativity, and love for learning, while supporting their development across cognitive, language, social, emotional, and physical domains.
I also place great importance on professional collaboration and continuous learning. I actively participate in IG’s social media and professional learning groups, where I share ideas, exchange experiences, and reflect on teaching practices with fellow educators. These meaningful interactions allow me to grow professionally while contributing positively to the team and learning from others.
Looking ahead, my goal is to provide high-quality early learning experiences to more children and families, supporting children as they grow in a happy, caring, and inclusive environment. Through ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and curriculum innovation, I hope to bring creative, thoughtful, and high-quality teaching experiences to the field of early childhood education.
I firmly believe that, with the support of the IG family, I will continue to grow as an educator, make a meaningful impact in early childhood education, and contribute to building a bright and positive future for every child.
Activities: I offer a variety of special projects and activities designed to support children’s holistic development. My programs often integrate art, music and movement, storytelling, early science, early math, sensory play, outdoor exploration, and large motor activities, allowing children to learn through hands-on experiences and play.
I regularly design project-based and inquiry-based activities inspired by children’s interests. For example, children may explore nature through seasonal projects, experiment with simple science activities, engage in creative art projects, or participate in group games that promote cooperation, communication, and social-emotional development.
In addition, I place strong emphasis on outdoor learning and physical play, providing children with daily opportunities to explore, move, and connect with nature. Family involvement is also encouraged through shared activities, celebrations, and ongoing communication, helping to build strong partnerships between home and the learning environment.
These projects and activities are continuously adapted based on children’s interests, developmental needs, and reflections from daily practice, ensuring that learning remains meaningful, engaging, and child-centered.
